This is one of the fun ways used to promote gentle non-repetative movement in clients that have limited mobility.   Lee finds the exercises not only functional, but fun and playful too.     Jae would like to thank Lee  kindly for not only allowing himself to be photograped for the site, but  for helping in the naming it.

Movement

Although Pilates is gaining popularity among senior citizens, there are few Studios/Instructors that concentrate on this age group.

With patient, calm, gentle instruction and an emphasis on fun, Playful Pilates Certified Instructor Jae Newman specializes in teaching the over 50's Pilates and movement. Jae has the ability to modify exercises to meet differing needs, which makes Pilates an inviting senior exercise program.

The low-impact Pilates program helps to increase muscle mass, and renew strength and range of motion without placing undue stress on aging muscles and joints. This offers many benefits such as increased levels of strength, balance, flexibility, muscle tone, stamina, breath control and well being.
